Omicron Practice Updates: 01/11/2022

Due to a sharp increase in COVID cases in our area, we are changing most of our visits to virtual televisits this week (week of Jan 10th) and next week (week of Jan 17th). Our staff will reach out to you with instructions on Televisit either using Doxy or Facetime. Our staff can also help to reschedule the visit to a later date.

With an increase in positive cases in North Texas, our office is getting a lot of calls from patients. Please leave a message if our staff members are busy assisting other patients. We will get back to you as soon as possible. For any medical emergencies, please call 911.

Early research indicates that Omicron causes less severe illness than previous variants. But because omicron is highly contagious and because of the sheer volume of people infected with the virus, the number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is still likely to surpass previous peaks.

So, it is important for all of us to stay safe and follow the CDC guidelines to slow the spread of the COVID cases.

Thank you all for your support!
