Congratulations to our new NPs!

Congratulations to Io Tolentino Santos and Retty George for successfully finishing their Nurse Practictioner (NP) practicum experience at our clinic and best wishes as they start helping the communities with healthcare.

Enabling better health and empowering the community has been our vision since we started our own primary care practice more than 4 years ago. Our goal is not only to take care of our patients but also to create a multiplier effect – training more medical professionals to serve the community around North Texas.

Dr.Gurrapu has trained more than 10 NPs in her practice so far and continue to help more aspiring students finish. We are proud of our graduating NPs already in the field post-COVID actively helping the community.

If you are passionate to help others with better health, this is absolutely an exciting career for you! A Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a registered nurse who has advanced education and clinical training in a health care specialty. NPs are also trained to promote health and prevent disease through comprehensive health care and education. NPs work in collaboration with our physician and have prescriptive authority in the state of Texas. Clinical placements are an essential element of this NP education program, providing opportunity to apply the concepts, care methods, and care coordination principles they learn in the classroom to direct work with patients.

Training the next generation of medical staff is a big priority for Dr.Gurrapu. We are excited to partner with the local nursing universities (University of Arlington, Walden University and others) to extend the practicum experience to these NP students and extend the medical workforce for the North Texas communities.

Congratulations and our best wishes to these NPs. Looking forward to their healthcare services to the North Texas communities.
